That's really unfortunate and sneaky, in my opinion. Is it the same booking at klm.com?
I've had times where Concur would only do the opposite when I'm booking work travel. Even if all the US and TATL flights are on Delta (while only a few short flights inside Europe are with AF), it wants to ticket the whole package on AF. No option for -006, or at least that's how it looks in Concur.
It's on my to-do list to try to get some packages to give the option of DL vs. AF and then run the numbers in a spreadsheet to see which is more advantageous, especially in RDM's.
