Dividend Miles Preferred Bonus Miles Taken Back
Recently I reviewed my flight activity on the Dividend Miles website and discovered I had multiple negative transactions ranging from 89 miles to 320+, roughly adding up to 1000. The first time I called the old US Airways preferred line, I waited for 30 minutes to talk with an Advantage rep, so I gave up. The second time I called the old Dividend Miles preferred number, I selected the option to book travel and immediately spoke with an agent. However, they transferred me to Advantage, which said US Airways no longer exists so they couldn’t help me. They had me send in a screen shot from their website because they don’t have access to their own airline’s information.
So I concerned that US Airways took back miles in multiple transactions without my knowledge and that the new American is unable to do anything about it. Finally, why should I have to monitor my account once the points are deposited that the airline will revoke them without explanation and I have to take the time to remedy the situation, if there is one.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice?
