I'm traveling CW from SFO to LHR and on to Europe next month & I'm torn between the 747 and the A380 for the overnight flight (I don't have time constraints which would dictate one flight over the other). I'm tall (6'3") and have always liked the 747 UD window seats with extra legroom. I went on the A380 UD from LAX last summer and it was a nice aircraft (and better IFE) but I didn't have the option of an extra legroom window seat (I ended up taking one of the aisle seats with extra legroom at the front). Lack of a window isn't a deal killer but I do prefer the chance to look out at the scenery. On the other hand, I feel that somehow I ought to prefer a newer plane.
Thoughts?
