Seat 38E flight flight BA2036 MCO-LGW
Last year I flew with BA to Florida, from Gatwick, on the way out everything was great. However on the way back I sat in seat 38E which was torturous. The seat had no foam cushioning and was just fabric set on the hard frame. It was clear the cushioning had been removed, perhaps due to being soiled I do not know. I sat on what felt like a park bench for the long flight and was in agony as it triggered sciatica and my legs swelled up. I walked the plane most of the night, I complained to all the crew, but there were no spare seats. I filled in a complaints form when I got home, I sent letters, emails to everyone from customer services to the CEO. I still have not received anything more than we are dealing with your complaint.....it has now been fourteen months since I started to complain. The most recent response was their tech logs do not show a repair to that seat.....this made me mad as it means others have had to sit on the park bench which is seat 38E, as well, as if there is no log, it has not been fixed, no log does not mean there is no problem, just that the problem remains unresolved!
A longshot but has anyone else sat in seat 38E orlando to Gatwick and suffered the most uncomfortable journey in their life?
