I wouldn't be surprised if Vancouver's status as "Hollywood North" results in a lot of Y flight pass travel. And then of course there's all the Canadians who have defected to the bay area tech scene and have money to burn...
Personally I insist on paid J cabin if anyone wants me to fly down to SFO -- I don't want to risk sitting at the back of a Rouge plane, even if it is just two hours.
