The oddities continue.

So during reservation the seats next to each of the two Platinum pax of us are blocked and cannot be accessed by the other Platinum pax, nor can each of the pax access to seat next to his own, although it's blocked "for his privacy". (Example: I have 5A, 5B is blocked, but I cannot move myself to 5B although it's blocked "for me". Same with the other passenger in 7K, who cannot move to 7J which is blocked)

At online check-in, the Platinum pax with the paid ticket can move to the seat next to himself as well as to the seat next to his traveling partner. However, the award Platinum pax can move to the seat next to his own, but not to the one next to his traveling partner. (The paying passenger at 5A can now move to 5B or to 7J. The award passenger can move to 7J, but not to 5B)

So Air France has invented "seat blocking for all Plats at reservation which is upheld for paying Plats during online check-in but not for Plats traveling on an award."
