The mayor´s task force does not really need to book an apartment and pay a deposit to know what the owner is up to. I understand that they are very cognizant of apartments on the internet. Owner fines and enforcement actions are up this year, significantly over last.

The early push by the task force was in response to complaints by neighbors but overall I understand that they have been very respectful of visitors. Renters of apartments found in violation of ALUR have been allowed to finish their vacations before apartments are officially closed by the task force.
