I was charged an extra €18 for a recent upgrade of segments LHR-ATH-LHR.

This fits with the extra £13 UK APD tax that would be levied. No other charges added such as extra PSC or Fuel Surcharges that could have possibly been charged for a LHR inbound-only route.
