AF tweeter folks put me back on those duo seats mixed up by the Expedia moron. But they also want payment for them. As they also want payment for the other two I booked and were not moved anywhere.

This is how my original booking looked like on Oct 9, 2014 WRT seats:
pax1
Toronto - Paris - 44L confirmed
Paris - Barcelona - no selection on hold
Barcelona - Paris ion - no selection on hold
Paris - Toronto - 44L confirmed
pax2
Toronto - Paris - 44K confirmed
Paris - Barcelona - no selection on hold
Barcelona - Paris - no selection on hold
Paris - Toronto - 44K confirmed

At the present moment it doesn't show anymore any status for seats.

Spoke on the phone with AF (Canada) and they say I will have to pay at some point for those seats if I want to keep them. It sucks.

I'm inclined to believe this could be just a crappy European kind of doing business. I don't believe in the US/Canada you would prepay for something and later they would come after you for more money for what you have paid already. But I might also be wrong.
