Just imagine what the world would be like if we'd we'd answer: "google it" to every question that's asked to us in social a situation!

This is not a social situation, though. Imagine if we, in our social interactions, had to wait hours or days for a response - as is the norm here - or never got a reply?
We're on the internet, and the question as initially framed (What is duo seat?) could have been more efficiently answered by turning to a search engine.
It's only now that the OP has given the real kernel of the problem. It's not so much as wondering what a "duo seat" is - but how to get back something that they lost and now have to pay for to get back.
I don't see a resolution - other than to pay up.
