In theory, it doesn't get you anything with any agency (much as status with an airline or hotel won't get you anything if you make a NYOP reservation and end up with that airline or hotel). Same with Hotwire.

In practice, when the agency has linked the driver's license number on my Priceline/Hotwire reservation to the number on my loyalty account, I've gotten some kind of benefit for it.
