We rented from Avis two weeks ago and were instructed by their desk staff at TLV to return to a drop-off location that is not at Terminal 3, and to take the shuttle back to Terminal 3.

Related question: I was thinking of dropping other passengers and baggage at Terminal 3, then heading to car rental drop-off, taking shuttle back, and rejoining the rest of my party. However I am curious about the security gauntlet and whether a small group of people with several bags are allowed to just remain near the entrance while waiting for me, or whether they are told to basically "keep moving", which would make meeting up at that location impossible.
