I am arriving in BOM on SQ422 at 10:20am and then need to continue to DME via DEL the same day which will be a separate ticket. Initially I wanted to buy a single AI ticket BOM-DEL-DME but am rethinking this given the hassle of transferring from T2 to T1A in BOM (time, visa, baggage).

So my new idea is to buy 2 tickets instead:
(1) BOM-DEL on Vistara (UK944 2:20pm-4:30pm)
(2) DEL-DEM on AI (AI155 7:55pm-11:20pm)

Reason behind is that Vistara leaves from T2 at BOM and arrives in T3 at DEL where the AI flight to DME departs from and I hope this would give me a smooth transit.

Thoughts from anyone? Has anyone connected from/to Vistara recently?
