Usually, when you go through a portal it doesn't matter which CC you use to complete the purchase. I usually use a different card (whichever one I'm trying to meet min spend on) and I've always gotten the portal points/cashback.
Recently purchased something through the Chase UR Mall, and I used my Capital One credit card to pay. I didn't get any rewards from Chase, though Capital One cashback posted as expected. It wasn't a large purchase so not an issue.

Do you clear cookies/use incognito mode etc when shopping through portals?
