I hope we can all agree that portions of Southwest's boarding policy are simply asinine. Not withstanding the ambiguity and apparently random enforcement.
Apparently some here feel that parent of an infant 2 or less who the parent voluntarily purchased a ticket for should be forced to give up their hard earned privileges of A-List or the BS class ticket boarding when the infant has a lower boarding position.
Apparently some believe that parents of children 2-5 who Southwest does not accept as unaccompanied minors should be forced to board with the assigned number of their child, or at least after the truly entitled are boarded, regardless of the status of the parent. Even purchasing Early Boarding does not fully erase the inequity.
Finally family boarding applied only to accompanied children 4 or under so children 5 to 11 which Southwest will not permit to fly without special accommodation are required to either board independent or their parents are required to give up their earned boarding position.
What do you think. I think it's kind of crazy.
