With that said - does anyone has has traveled here with children less than 2 have any "Pro Tips"? Should we bring a travel tent for the beach, or will the umbrellas suffice at Andaz/Prieta? Other tips?
They have umbrella at both, but very few at the Andaz. We ended up having to save one before breakfast. Would not hurt to bring a travel tent. Consider rash guard tops.

The sun is strong. My kids and I are well pigmented and got burnt the 1st day. We ended up swimming early morning late afternoons after that.

Ask to be in building 5-7 (7 is best, right next to family pool and closest to the 2 restaurants)

If it were me, I would no rent a car in your situation. I rented a car the second trip and it not find it to be worth it and we made several excursions. You can take a water taxi to Playa del Coco at sunset "as an excursion." Make sure airport and Andaz shuttle has appropriate buckle for car seat.

Make sure family gets Hep A and Thyphoid vaccine before travel. Mosquito repellent, especially at night and during rainy season due to Dengue fever.

See the age limit at the Cambi Kids Clubs. I know they take babies. That way the parents can head to Witches' Rock for ziplining.
