Why did you take the vouchers? Why didn't you go to the lounge? AC's already paying for your lounge access. Don't be so entitled.

Some of us value our time and money. When we book a flight at a certain time for a certain price, it is economically not sound to spend more money in addition to the airfare paid, since the cost of flying that flight has increased. If it's increased because of reasons under the airlines control, the airline is responsible for that increase and should cover it to a reasonable degree (which would amount to covering the prices of a standard meal at an airport). That's what our society believes anyway - witness the IDB compensation ruling.

Of course, there are always those who don't value their time or money and spend without thinking. Witness any number of warnings about growing debt. Expecting 'unentitled' pax to throw away money at overpriced airport restaurants simply because an airline can't operate on time for reasons under its control and is unwilling to cover the additional cost this imposes on the pax... well it doesn't reflect much economic or fiscal intelligence on the part of the pax.
