Not really impressed with my stay here. No real welcome or recognition as a plat. My 'upgraded' room was basically just one on a higher floor. Room wasn't ready when I arrived at 11am even though I'd actually told them that I was going to arrive at 7am. Had to wait 2 hours in the Exec lounge for a room to be cleaned. Not complaining too much but just found it a little bit annoying. I realise that it was a busy time of year.
Exec lounge was nice enough but very busy at breakfast. Staff friendly but run off their feet (Easter).
Room was ok, pretty spacious but no little extras like free bottled water. No welcome letter (not that this bothers me but it adds to my experience of not being well recognised as a plat).
I'm staying at the Sheraton today so it'll be interesting the compare these two Sydney properties. Not really sure why some people are saying it's such a great hotel/the best Westin in the world. The Westin in Bali is leaps and bounds ahead for example.
