Again, you seem strangely unmoved by this revelation/inaccuracy [did you know this? Is this incorrect?].

If you started ringing every Delta number you could find in the hopes of finding an agent who would do what you wanted...and I would expect a lot of these Asia/Pacific numbers would actually end up at the same call centre anyway - then of course a flag was raised!!! [But actually - "Delta in Sydney" may just be the Singapore number that you rang. I know that FB used to have a call centre in Australia, so perhaps Delta are there, too]

Is there more to the story that you are holding back? (This is turning out to be the Pickwick Papers!!)
