The first "real" point of time for handing out Plat4Life will be on 1 Apr 2016. Those who became Plat4Life on 1 Apr this year did so on the basis of 1 year of top-level status with KL FD or AF FP.

I agree though that it is unlikely they will abolish it any time soon.
