I rang the BA Gold line earlier in the day and was given a number to ring at midnight which turned out to be the Premier Line. I innocently used this not knowing it was such and although was chastised when they realised I was only Gold they did help me. They also said to begin with that as I was a Premier Customer they were allowed to release any number of seats for me for Avios rewards. Unfortunately they then realised I was Gold...Ho Humm....
