*G gets you priority check-in, lounge access and boarding.
You can credit flights to whichever FF programme you want.
Why should the two be linked? (It helps that if you're flying LH metal, they can hardly complain when you ask the gate agent to help you credit a LH flight to their own FF scheme)
Can this really work? Has anyone done this?
