Denied Mileage for cancelled flight on AI
Hi,
We were booked to fly from SYD-MEL-DEL-BOM on AI in Business class. After checkin due to a technical problem, the SYD-MEL-DEL flight was cancelled and we were put on Malaysian Airlines.
On requesting for mileage for these cancelled flights from Air India, I have been informed by the AI team that I cannot receive miles as I have not flown on AI and should contact MH for these miles.
Does AI not have an obligation to credit my miles on my AI account as the flights were cancelled by AI? I do not wish to have the miles credited on MH.
Can anyone let me know if there is some IATA rule on this ? ...thanks.......
