Last I checked DL doesn't have Fifth Freedom rights in PVG. So this isn't going to replace NRT by a long shot. Anderson said it was going to be like AMS, which means any connections will be aligned with MU. Most of which would be Intra-China and PVG O/D. Frankly it sounds like a "Plan B" after they messed up the KE relationship.
Agreed. This won't be a Delta hub in the sense of connecting from one DL flight to another. Think of it more as a Hub to connect with partner flights.
It will be a cold day in hell when Delta gets fifth freedom rights in PVG.
