Some people don't care if they have to take the time to call Recon, maybe get asked a bunch of questions that may cause their app to be denied, maybe even lead to a FR, worst case all their accounts being shut down?
@18 months ago, I called Chase Recon, and it was like being a suspect being grilled by the police. The call took over 20 minutes, and I had to tell him every address I'd lived at for the last 20 years, among other absurd matters. Finally my app was approved, but I was exhausted when it was over. Now every time I get an instant approval I do the famous "Happy Dance".
That doesn't make any sense to me. It's not a personal preference, like vanilla or chocolate ice cream, it's time, effort, and unnecessary risk. So no I really do not understand it. I have no problem with them feeling that way, it just makes no sense to me. Luckily I don't need to understand it.
