I've absolutely no idea. If you are able to download stuff prior to the flight then why is it limited to A380 routes and a new IFE? It wouldn't be using the IFE but presumably would need to be something you accessed via your BAEC account. I had a quick look and couldn't see any reference to it when logged in. I'm sure someone will be along in a while with more details...
