One thing I have wondered though is if I were moving soon, could I go to the DMV and get a new DL before I move because I "lost" mine, and then once I move go get a new DL with my new address? CVS' rudimentary systems should see them as two different people since they have different addresses and they would both be "valid" for a very long time since my state issues DLs for 8 years. Obviously this is unethical, possibly illegal and some may object to doing it but in theory it should work.
Well according to post #10801, CVS slides your DL and only records the DL #. So you would need 2 DL #s for this to work since it doesn't matter about the address, name, etc. So I don't think when you request an address change on your DL that the DMV issues you a new DL number on your new DL. Maybe it could work if you are moving to another state.
