I have to fly from Geneva to Manila next month. I'm being proposed J class on either Cathay, Lufthansa or Swiss. All routings converge on HKG whereafter I make the final leg to Manila on Philippines Air or Cathay/Dragonair.

I've not flown Philippines Air so would be inclined to opt for Cathay on the HKG-MNL leg.

For the longhaul segment I'd be inclined to go with Cathay but have not flown either Swiss or Lufthansa in a while. Any thoughts? Cathay is flying 777s whereas LH and LX appear to be using A340s on their routes.
