Other gold benefits I value, not mentioned so far.

Extra reward flight saver availability. I find the RFS rates and flat rate taxes a tangible benefit across the tiers, however the extra space released for GCH makes this very useful. Especially to popular european destinations in peak season.

GUF2 voucher - Maybe out of reach for you but for those who can get there it's a great benefit. Combined with the Amex 241 and you get dramatic savings. I recently just booked 2 returns in F to JFK for 80,000 avios and ~£1K taxes.
