I was looking at that route, but all the LAX-LAS fares prior to 1/15 were $198+

The timing of SNA-SJC-LAS is such that I could only do one in a day, and would only get 2,000 miles for $615 or so.

Also, four LAX-LAS trips gets me only 4,000 miles for $800, where I could get 4,800 miles for $212 with 1 r/t from SNA-JFK
