I have another twist on this....I need to fly DTW-PHX and companion needs to fly DTW-PHX-SMF. Can I book DTW-PHX-SMF for myself and add the companion but then drop MYSELF in PHX?

It sounds shady but if Southwest doesn't care maybe it's OK?
