Glad it worked out. I had that happen once, too, when the hotel moved me into an even better suite, but in doing so, made it appear I was in a regular room. Thanks to the poster who suggested the two room solution. That's a good one to remember should this appen again.
IMO two *connecting* rooms aren't equivalent to a suite (unless the plan is to fill the sitting room with rollaway beds) and nonconnecting rooms just aren't feasible for most families.
