It's almost 9am in Kuala Lumpur, so you might have already tried to call. If you haven't here are some suggestions that might help:
- Give the hotel a day or two to respond to your request. The Sales Manager will likely send your request to the Revenue Manager/Reservations Manager. That takes time. If you push for an answer right away, it will likely be "no".
- Make things as easy as possible for the hotel. I agree that calling is best. But, during the conversation, offer to fax/email your request, including your requirement to earn points. If the only thing the Sales Manager needs to do is forward an email, she or he is more likely to help.
- Provide multiple methods to contact you. Email, phone, fax, smoke signals, etc. You want to make things as easy as possible for the hotel.
