I don't know about your experiences, but, I find Delta's customer service outstanding! No huge corporation is, or will ever be perfect. Maybe you've just had a run of bad luck, I dunno.
Of course you're free to share your experience! I would encourage everyone to share as much as possible! Do you think I was berating you, or something? I certainly hope you didn't take it that way.
My simple point was, that, there could be 1000 reasons to quit flying Delta. Late flights. Fares too high. Bad schedules. No upgrades. Unhappy with SkyMiles. Rude front line employees. But, IMO, you chose something that really Delta didn't have any direct control over at that given moment in time, since it wasn't their employee who didn't clean the seat pocket thoroughly - or perhaps, not at all, as MSPecon mentioned, which could be considered Delta's fault, if they don't clean between every single flight. I'd bet that UA & AA don't either.
