Gosh, I must be old, because I can remember when the plane was cleaned between each flight. Vacuum cleaners buzzed, magazines were stacked back in order in every seat back pocket and cleaner was sprayed on surfaces. I guess we have a choice of cheap flights are clean flights.

FWIW, I always put a plastic bag in the pocket and only look in the bag, having seen too much gross stuff in the pocket previously.
