So I just checked in here (a process that in itself took almost one hour), they seemed write down all of my information manually instead of using my SPG profile as everywhere else. At least we had some fresh coconuts and the there was an okay lounging area around the reception.

I had booked a Ocean view Jr Suite, and I was told that "Oh and because you are platinum we have upgraded you to a Junior Suite!" .. okay. The room is on the first floor and the ocean view, while visible, is more like a jungle view. The room description also stated "Bathtub overlooking the ocean", I guess I can spot the ocean through the sprinkled wall there.

The room in itself smells freshly painted, which is to expected, thankfully the smell is starting to lighten after opening the balcony doors for a while.

About one hour after getting to the room we received some fresh fruits and baked goods.

The platinum amenity that I received was 2 cocktails at one of their restaurants.
