ScottC: don't forget that it comfortably fits the eBags TLS and quite likely every other "convertible" carry on sized backpack. This is why I posted really, as finding out what monitor fits inside which bag is not possible without testing. For example, based on posted specs, the AOC e2351F fits the Rush 72 which is
not the case.
To sum up: if someone as techie as I am needs a monitor on the other end of a flight, they will need a monitor that fits in a carry on bag and yet it's as big as possible. That's the Sharp LL 201A. There is literally nothing else like it on the market (except the Asus PT201Q for $1000). To further save weight, forget the original charger and buy the Rocketfish netbook charger and a figure 8 to NEMA plug. (Possibly these
wall warts are even lighter, I will continue researching the topic. I've gotten a cheap digital jeweler scale off eBay to help in these matters. I am serious in saving weight.)
As for the Asus MB168B+ it's way too small at 15" , requires USB 3.0 which I don't have and also Linux doesn't have drivers and good luck running it from a tablet. It's completely useless from my perspective. Edit: some of the one star reviews of the
AOC E1759fwu gives you an idea about how "good" DisplayLink monitors are.
Edit:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Lego...-Tablet-Stand/ this stand holds up the monitor just fine. Cheap and lightweight. Pictures at
