Thanks for the input. Two other factors that I forgot to include in my earlier post. I don't currently have a points balance with JetBlue. I redeemed almost all of my points last month for a couple of tickets, and I also don't have any upcoming trips planned. Combine that with the changes in the seat layout and baggage fees coming later this year, and it's no longer clear that JetBlue will have enough of an edge to make it my default choice. I've been thinking about dropping the card even before I knew about the switch to Barclays. So the question is do I want to keep the card for the year, and earn points that I might not ever be able to use, or switch to something now and start building up credit in another program?
