"GIVE POINTS
When you give HHonors Points to friends and family, you get to be the hero. Maybe your spouse needs more HHonors Points, and you have a few extra. Maybe your parents are just a few hundred HHonors Points short of an overseas adventure. Or maybe you want to bring everyone together for a family reunion. Sharing your HHonors Points makes it easier to share unforgettable experiences together." BUT - They charge you a ridiculous fee to transfer points.
How do you know it is "absolutely not"? Have you tried? I have and it worked just fine. Even today when we use either card the spending points all end up in one HHonors account.
I doubt that Amex cares as they have to give the points whether it's to one or two HHonors accounts. And I doubt that Hilton cares that much either as I'm not sure that they know whether the cards are separate accounts, one is an AU, or both cards belong to the same person but one is a Surpass and one isn't.
