Unless I'm extremely hungry else usually I can settle for the standard meal.

When I'm flying for business, given that I always suddenly change my flight I don't think they can earn this money for me

When I'm flying leisure, if I'm flying with friends unless all of us do so, I won't make myself odd by ordering something in a higher class. If I'm flying alone... again likely I'll change flight easily so not a good idea again

Also I feel sorry for the crew, especially in Y when someone don't know such service in advance will definitely question this on board and creating more and more problems and headaches for the crew...
