I asked an customer service agent at lax term 8 about award ticket upgrade but she insisted there was no such a thing for award ticket. Award ticket is NOT simply eligible for upgrade, period. I showed UA website but she just said she couldn't do anything. The system is broken...
Anyway I asked an agegent at my gate and he had no problem with putting me on the upgrade list and I got F seat at the end.
