Apologies, no experience, but I'm also interested in the same. The only thread that I managed to find here was started by a guy who unfortunately never returned to post how things worked out. I'm sure that some folks on here must have gone this route. I've seen some other threads regarding some other airlines that were quite good, recorded a lot of bids.

Did you figure out the bit about 'eligible flights / booking classes'? I forget exactly how it's written. I never got a response from CA when I emailed them (twice) asking for some guidance on what constituted an 'eligible booking class'.
