I have been waiting to be able to find a 50K points offer again and today got lucky (I hope anyway). I went to AMEX site on a cache/cookie cleared browser and saw it - $1,000 spend first year fee waived. I have never had the card in the past so should technically qualify but we will see. I was instantly approved anyway and plan to hit the spend as soon as the card arrives.
The clincher on this for me was the upcoming 2x on dining. That along with everything else will make this worth it for me.
