Last week, SAN-DEN-BWI for redeeming miles accrual:

Old Way = 2344 x 2 = 5274
New Way = 870 base + 1044 bonus = 2343

Best part was sitting in E+ for those hours and earning 44% of old method. Can't wait to do that again. So I need someone at UA to explain to me how this is better and why would I keep flying UA? I know spend more but 56% reduction is way out line for loyalty. If AA does not change in the next year, I'm out.
