How does the stay point credit work
I'm wondering: who is responsible for crediting the points after a stay? I know at IHG the hotel has to actively initiate the point credit.
I've recently stayed at a Marriott hotel and the points didn't credit. I've contacted the hotel (for other issues) and mentioned the missing points. I was told that they will contact Marriott Rewards to make sure the points will be credited. A week later there are still no points and I write back again. I'm told that they have sent an email! to Marriott Rewards asking for the credit to take place.
Does that make any sense?
