I strategically fly AS and UA on specific routes based on time, connections and money. I mostly fly for leisure trips so I have the flexibility to choose my routes. This also allows me to achieve both the UA 1k status and 75K with AS. It will probably be best to spread out the miles between two alliances to achieve top status for both vs. continually flying on AS as their mileage program isn't that great.
Did I read that right? You don't care for AS mileage program? I guess it all depends on your needs and AS works wonders for me.

My definition is if flight attendants recognize you, you're a frequent flier. If they ask about your family/girlfriend/work/restaurant recommendations, you're a really frequent flier.
