I flew to Bordeaux not a long time ago.
Landed a little past 11pm at a deserted, quite tiny airport. Having my luggage tagged as priority, I was getting ready to be soon in possession of my suitcase and on my way from the airport.
However, even though the delivery began about 10 minutes later, i only got my suitcase at midnight, after watching all the suitcases from my flight being delivered.
I wrote Air France about that event and got this:
"Etant donné qu'il faut débarquer, passer la Sécurité et récupérer le ou les bagages, il est tout à fait normal qu'il y est au moins une heure entre la pose de l'appareil et la récupération des bagages. Il arrive également parfois que l’attente de réception des bagages soit plus longue."
(I'm particularily amused with the security checks at arrival, but also impressed waiting an hour or more for a priority-tagged luggage is considered a standard by AF. Hopefully I can count on a take-away salty or sweet biscuit to entertain myself while waiting next time...)
