very good looking ones (found few nearby). Unfortunately all hotel availability is null. Will put it on a list for a trip in September.

Wineries:
Very good Riesling at Maximin Grünhaus (www.vonschubert.com). Some of their vinyards have been cultivated since Roman times. And Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier (www.bischoeflicheweingueter.de) for the sheer feeling of history when visiting their caves in Trier.

In Luxembourg, Bernard Massard (www.bernard-massard.lu/en/) do some decent sparkling, and their caves in Grevenmacher are open for visitors.
Luxembourg - we will probably eat early dinner and move back DE
Trier spots - all very good, looks like there's Bernard Massard in Trier too

So here's what it looks like:
- spending one night in Freyburg to see Saale area
- Mosel: 2 days in Wasserliesch, 3 days in Ürzig, 2 days in Mehring
- Pfalz: 2 days in Deidesheim, Sankt Martin
- R-H: 1 day in Osthofen, 2 days in Nackenheim

In each of those locations we'll have quite interesting wineries / restaurants within walk or a short taxi ride.
