Just saw the same under my profile. It already says "Platinum for life" on both KLM and AF website which shows that the system anticipates the status since I qualified for Platinum in OCT 2005 and hence would only be Platinum for life in OCT 2015 but since I'll be platinum for the entire year of 2015 it makes sense.

There is, however, a mistake on KLM website since it says that I am Platinum for life since OCT 2005 (but then technically it is true)...
