Both sets of cabin doors on the 170 are manned doors.
What you refer to applies to over-wing exits on the Airbus and 737 fleets.
On the E170 and E190 aircrsft both the first row and the last row are exit seats even though they are bulkheads.. I have enquired about this before and got no real answer.
